You connect Google from the Site Performance tab in the left menu. This is also one of the steps in Do This First.
- In the left menu, click Site Performance.
- Click the button to connect Google. A Google sign-in window opens.
- Sign in with your Google account.
- Press Allow to give permission.
- If asked, pick your website from the list Google shows you.
That's it. This connects two free Google tools: Google Analytics, which counts your visitors, and Search Console, which shows what people searched to find you.
If the connection stops working later, the same tab will show a button to reconnect. Press it and sign in again.
Why this matters
Without this connection, you're flying blind. Once it's on, you can see real numbers instead of guessing whether Google is sending you customers.
