Acceptable Use Policy

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes what you can and cannot do on LocalSites.Dev. It exists to protect all our users and ensure the platform remains safe, reliable, and trustworthy. This policy applies to all account holders, including agency users who manage client sites.

Permitted Use

LocalSites.Dev is designed for one thing: building and hosting professional websites for legitimate local service businesses. Permitted uses include:

• Creating websites for licensed, insured, and legally operating service businesses
• Publishing accurate information about your services, service areas, and contact details
• Using AI content generation to create service descriptions, about pages, and FAQs
• Connecting custom domains to your hosted website
• Managing multiple client sites through an agency account

Prohibited Content

You must not publish or upload any content that:

• Is false, misleading, or fraudulent (including fake reviews, fabricated credentials, or misleading business claims)
• Infringes on someone else’s intellectual property, trademarks, or copyrights
• Contains hate speech, threats, harassment, or discriminatory language
• Includes sexually explicit, violent, or graphic material
• Promotes illegal products, services, or activities
• Contains malware, phishing links, or malicious code
• Collects personal information from visitors without proper disclosure and consent

Prohibited Activities

You must not engage in any of the following activities:

• Unauthorized access: Attempting to access accounts, data, or systems you do not own or have permission to use
• Platform abuse: Sending spam, automated requests, or any traffic designed to overload or degrade the platform
• Scraping or data harvesting:Using bots or scripts to extract data from the platform, other users’ sites, or our API without permission
• Reselling without authorization: Reselling access to the Service outside of the agency/white-label program
• Circumventing limits: Creating multiple accounts to bypass usage limits, rate limits, or AI generation quotas
• Impersonation: Pretending to be another business, person, or LocalSites.Dev staff
• SEO manipulation: Using the platform for link farms, doorway pages, cloaking, or other black-hat SEO tactics

AI Content Guidelines

Our AI generates content to help you build your website faster. When using AI-generated content, you must:

• Review all generated content for accuracy before publishing
• Not use AI tools to generate misleading claims about your business, services, or qualifications
• Not attempt to manipulate the AI to produce prohibited content
• Not use the AI content generation feature for purposes unrelated to your website (such as generating bulk content for other platforms)

Resource Usage

Each account has fair-use limits for storage, bandwidth, and AI content generation based on your subscription tier. You must not:

• Use your website to host files unrelated to your business website (such as large media libraries, file sharing, or backups)
• Generate excessive API requests beyond normal website management
• Exceed your plan’s AI content generation limits through automated or bulk requests

Enforcement

We take a fair, graduated approach to enforcement:

• First offense (minor): We will notify you and request that you correct the issue within 48 hours.
• Repeat offenses: We may temporarily suspend your account or specific features until the issue is resolved.
• Serious violations: We may immediately suspend or terminate your account without prior notice for severe violations such as fraud, malware distribution, or illegal activity.

If your account is terminated for a policy violation, you are not entitled to a refund for the current billing period.

Reporting Violations

If you believe a site on our platform violates this policy, please report it to abuse@localsites.dev. Include the website URL and a description of the violation. We review all reports and respond within 5 business days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification at least 14 days before taking effect.
