What are business listings and why do they matter?

Open Google Profile in the left menu, then click Listings. This tab shows the places across the web where your business is listed.

Those are directories, like Yelp and the many sites like it, that carry your name, address, and phone number.

The tab checks whether that name, address, and phone match everywhere. When an old directory has your wrong number, it flags it so you can spot it.

Getting them consistent helps Google trust your business, and that trust helps your rankings.

Wrong info out there hurts you in a plain way too. A customer who finds an old phone number on some directory calls it and never reaches you.

If Google Profile isn't in your left menu, it isn't turned on for your account. Ask the support team and they can turn it on.

Why this matters

The same name, address, and phone everywhere tells Google you're the real deal. It also makes sure customers can actually reach you.
