Why does it say my website and Google don't match?

Open Google Profile in the left menu, then click Business Info. This tab compares your website with your Google listing.

It checks your name, phone, address, and hours in both places. When the two disagree, a notice appears.

This happens more than you'd think. Say you change your hours on your website but not on Google. Now the two don't match, and the notice tells you.

To fix it, update whichever one is wrong. When your Google listing is connected, this tab can push the correct edits over to Google for you.

The tab also keeps a history of who changed what. That way you can catch changes to your listing that you didn't make.

If you don't see Google Profile in the menu, it hasn't been switched on for your account. The support team can turn it on.

Why this matters

When your hours or phone don't match, customers get confused and Google trusts you less. Matching info keeps both happy.
