How do I reply to my Google reviews?

Open Google Profile in the left menu, then click Reviews. This is an inbox of all your Google reviews.

You can filter the list with the buttons at the top: All, Needs reply, 5-star, or Low.

  1. Click a review to open it.
  2. A reply is drafted for you. You can ask for a different version or edit the words yourself.
  3. Click the button to copy the reply. It copies your words and opens that review on Google.
  4. On Google, paste the reply and post it.

That last part is called "copy and open." The reply goes onto Google, not your website, so posting happens over on Google.

Try to reply to every review, good and bad. It shows customers, and Google, that you pay attention.

For a bad review, stay calm. State your side of it briefly. Then offer to make it right offline, like a phone number to call.

If you don't see Google Profile in the menu, it hasn't been turned on for your account. A quick note to the support team fixes that.

Why this matters

People read the replies, not just the reviews. A calm, kind reply to a bad review can win you the next customer who's reading.
