Set your country in the Advanced section. The Advanced section in the left menu starts closed, so click the word Advanced to open it, then click Localization.
Pick the country you operate in. The site's built-in legal pages, like privacy, then match that country's rules.
The tab holds a few other things:
- Business identity details, like tax or register numbers where those apply.
- A cookie-consent banner setting. That's the small "this site uses cookies" notice some countries require.
- A compliance checklist.
If your business is US-only, you usually only need to confirm the country is right.
When you're unsure about a legal detail, ask a real lawyer. This tool handles the standard pages. It doesn't give legal advice.
Why this matters
The right country setting keeps your legal pages correct for where you work. That's one less thing to worry about if a customer or an official ever checks.
