How do I save my changes?

When you change something, a Save bar appears at the bottom of the screen. Press Save. Nothing changes on your website until you do.

If you try to leave the page with changes you haven't saved, you get a warning first. That's there to stop you losing work by accident.

While a save is running, you'll see Saving... at the top. Wait for it to finish.

Some accounts save a draft first. On those, a banner then gives you three choices:

  1. Preview to see the change on its own.
  2. Discard to throw the change away.
  3. Publish to put it on your live website.

On those accounts, the live site only changes when you press Publish.

Why this matters

Save is the line between trying something and putting it in front of customers. Knowing where that line is means you can change things freely and only go live when you're ready.
